Priorities
Defending Reproductive Healthcare: With abortion rights at risk across this country, Sarah knows exactly how important it is to protect access to abortion in Oregon. Sarah will always fight to protect and expand reproductive rights, including abortion and contraception.
Education: Every student deserves access to quality public education. Sarah will increase student literacy and ensure that students graduating from high school have the skills they need to succeed.
Climate Solutions: As a scientist, Sarah knows we need to rapidly reduce pollution and invest in clean energy to address the climate crisis. She will fight for carbon reduction programs and hold polluters accountable.
Healthcare for All: As a cancer survivor, Sarah is committed to health care for every Oregonian. She will expand access to mental health care and fight to reduce the costs of prescription drugs.
Solutions to the Housing Crises: Sarah will increase the construction of entry-level housing so families can afford to live where they work and expand services so when people get housing they can stay housed.
Safe Communities for All: As a founder of Moms Demand Action-Oregon, Sarah will require safety training and a 10-day waiting period to buy a gun and invest in suicide prevention efforts so that we stop violence before it happens.
